Professor Augustine Ocloo is the Dean of the School of Biological Sciences at the University of Ghana, Legon.
He completed the great Spaco in the year 1991 and proceeded to the University of Ghana to obtain a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry.
Upon completion of his undergraduate studies, the then Augustine Ocloo had an offer to teach Chemistry at Bishop Herman College, Kpando. He served the school in the capacity of a chemistry tutor for a period of two (2) years, then, proceeded to the United Kingdom to further his education. Prof A. Ocloo got enrolled into the prestigious University of Cambridge at the Gonville & Caius College, the University’s fourth-oldest college and one of the wealthiest for his post graduate studies where he attained his doctoral honors too.
Due to affection and passion for his motherland, he returned to Ghana to impact the knowledge gained.
He has been lecturing at the University of Ghana’s School of Biological Sciences and College of Basic and Applied Sciences from 2006, grooming a lot of fine human and applied scientists this nation could ever have.
Additionally, he serves as the executive director for Center for Plant Medicine Research, (CPMR) as well as a board member.
Due to his love for great Spaco, Prof accepted to offer his skills and strategic direction to bear on reshaping, redirecting and projecting the great school, SPACO. Therefore, he accepted the position of a Non-executive member for the current Sposa National Executive committee.
