One of the most beautiful things in this world, is to see your parents smiling and knowing that you are the reason behind the smile. This is a classic case of our illustrious old student Elikplim.
Elikplim N. K. Atsu is the son of our former and retired assistant headmaster, academic; Mr. Atsu Ganya. It is evident that the disciplinarian instilled in his son the same amount of discipline he gave every student and as the proverbs of Solomon: A wise child brings joy to a father, Mr. Ganya would be very proud of his son’s endeavors and the Spaco fraternity, undoubtedly proud of him as well hence this honor roll.
Elikplim completed the great Spaco in 2004. He proceeded to study Surveying and Mapping at the Ghana School of Surveying and Mapping (GSSM) Accra. He further studied at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) for a Bsc in Geodetic Engineering and currently undertaking his MPhil in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) at the same institute KNUST.
In honesty, we saw little of him in terms of singing those days at Spaco but for a fact he was a splendid athlete (table tennis) and a performer. Also, he was indeed a brilliant champ attested by being one of the recipient of the School’s scholarship for brilliant students. He was part of the prefectorial board during the 2003/2004 academic year.
Elikplim currently works with Tema Development Corporation (TDC) as a land surveyor however the call to ministration has been a burning desire and music comes to him naturally and he has an ardour passion for it thus, dedicates time to it in-spite of his busy schedules.
He released two singles. The first one entitled “turning things around for my good” in 2019 and the current one “I look up to you” this year 2020 which is as well, a beautiful piece and gaining considerable airplay. He is currently working towards a debut album.
Elikplim has been a massive supporter of our school’s activities. I have met him a couple of times at Spaco events and he wears the barge with pride. It is an honor to have a genius like him as one of our own and we celebrate him for a good feat. Wishing you well and keep conquering Sir.
