Conq Timothy Sunday E. Adzamli (2005).
A wise man once said, “Do not follow where the path may lead. Go instead where there is no path and leave a trail”. This statement is very profound to our distinctive conqueror we are celebrating today.
Timothy attended Amazing Love basic school. The nationwide BECE setback in 2002 did not deter him. He had a distinction and gained admission to the great Spaco to pursue a course in Business Studies and completed in 2005 apparently the last batch of the Senior Secondary Schools Certificate Examination (SSSCE).
Hammett Donna writes; “intelligent people adapt by showing what can be done regardless of the complications or restrictions placed upon them”. Amidst restrictions and pressures to prove a point because the dad was the headmaster, Timothy demonstrated that he is a genius thus became one of the few day students’ who had won the school’s internal scholarship for a free boarding.
A wise son makes a glad father and it was obvious the then School headmaster, Mr. S.E.K Adzamli a lovely, yet, a strict and principled disciplinarian will always be delighted about his son’s feat.
Tim, Sunday or Sacri (Sacristan), as he is popularly known completed the great Spaco as the best business student. He enrolled into the nation’s premier University, University of Ghana Legon, to pursue a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration majoring in Accounting. While studying for his first degree, he registered for the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) papers. He passed all ACCA papers at first attempt. He doubles as a member of the ACCA Ghana chapter as well as the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada (CPA).
Tim graduated with first class honors from the University of Ghana in 2010 and was acknowledged as one of the best graduating students. He is currently pursuing a Master of Science Degree in Accounting with Digital Analytics at the Beedie School of Business in Simon Fraser University, Canada.
As the saying goes; Smart people aren’t just defined by their outrageously high scores. They tend to share a bunch of other characteristics, like insatiable curiosity and can do spirits. Tim has been making tremendous strides at the world’s renowned accounting and auditing firm, KPMG. He is the first Ghanaian to have been hired at both KPMG Leeds (UK) & KPMG Calgary, Canada offices.
He began his career as an audit intern in KPMG Ghana and rose through the ranks to a Senior Audit Associate before proceeding to the UK as an Audit Assistance Manager. Because of his insatiable quest for success, he left the UK to Canada where he is currently the Audit Manager at the Calgary, Alberta based KPMG Canada. His client portfolio is mainly private and listed companies in the energy services and oil and gas sectors.
Timothy loves to explore nature and an advocate for environmental sustainability.
There’s not a shred of doubt Tim aspires to do more and I take this opportunity to congratulate him for always raising high the banner of Spaco. Keep soaring Tim.
